The Poker TDA – The Official Poker Tournament Director Association

The Poker TDA, or professional Tournament Directors Association, is responsible for overseeing the game’s rules and regulations. The organization was founded in 2001 by poker players Matt Savage, Linda Johnson, Jan Fisher, and David Lamb. It now has more than 2,500 members from 63 countries and holds two meetings a year to review and revise its rules. WSOP Tournament Director Jack Effel serves on its board of directors. As a result, many of its rules have similar wording and are compatible with those of the TDA.

As a result of the televised coverage, the World Series of Poker and the European Tour now feature the Merge Network, a flagship skin of the Merge Network. In addition, the rankings also cover larger sit-and-go tournaments, including those that feature more than one hundred players. The site provides results-based statistics, including average buy-ins of individual players. For tournament players, it’s easy to access a comprehensive list of world-class events.
