NFL is the latest sports league to partner with betting operators. The league has been aggressive in infusing its broadcasts with gambling content and integrating betting into the stadium experience. The league announced three official betting partners, Caesars Entertainment, DraftKings, and FanDuel, in April. The three partners will share official NFL data and will be able to promote their partnership with the league and tie their brands to statistics. The five-year deal is worth nearly $1 billion if it goes through, but the NFL is still free to terminate the deal after three years.

In the first year of its partnership with the PGA TOUR, FanDuel became an Official Betting Operator. In the past year, it had become the biggest event handle on the FanDuel Sportsbook, and the agreement with the PGA Tour will further expand the sport’s betting offerings. During the Memorial Tournament, the company will provide branded fan experiences during the tournament and enhance the overall golf experience. It will also gain access to PGA Tour intellectual property and marks, as well as video highlights.

Another recent signing between a sports betting website and a professional sports team is the emergence of mobile gambling. BetRivers’ mobile app, launched in Louisiana on Jan. 28, saw 3.4 million transactions on its first weekend. The new retail sportsbook will be located in the Smoothie King Center and the team will feature BetRivers signage on the field and in the front row of courtside seats. The sportsbook will also be housed in the existing Citi Field bars.
