Official betting is a legal and regulated form of sports betting where a person places a bet on a specific outcome of a sport. This can be done through online or brick-and-mortar casinos.

The number of states that allow sports betting has increased since a Supreme Court decision allowed states to legalize it. More than 30 states have already launched some form of legalized sports betting, and more are set to launch in the future.

In addition to wagering on individual games, people can place bets on future events and outcomes. This includes bets on a player to win an upcoming game in a league or tournament, or on a player to win an event that will take place at a later date.

Live Plate Appearances / Pitch Result / Pitching Count Markets

Players must record at least one pitch or plate appearance in the game for Live Plate Appearance markets to have action, unless the player is subbed in later in the game. If a player intentionally walks or hits a ball, all Live Plate Appearance/Pitch Result/Pitch Count markets are void.

Statistically Dependent Markets (Team with Highest Inning, Team with Most Strikeouts/Total Bases/etc)

The relevant statistics must be available at the time of settlement from the official statistical provider of the league for a player market or other statistically dependent market to have action. If the statistic does not exist at the time of settlement, another reputable source will be used for settlement purposes.
